The Coast FI Guy is Back! Kind of ;)
I know it’s been a while since I’ve written anything, but I wanted to tell you that I’m still here and I plan on getting back to a regular(ish) writing schedule.
That said, my focus has shifted a bit as I’m no longer coasting to financial independence. Instead, I’m now working full-time as an Advisor for a local Wealth Management firm in the Salt Lake City, UT area.
A lot of my time these days is spent thinking about wealth management and retirement planning:
When Roth conversions make sense (and when they don’t)
How much umbrella insurance you really need
And so much more
In terms of my work, it’s a great fit. It allows me to nerd out on money topics, add value to clients’ financial lives, and still maintain a solid work-life balance. In terms of my lifestyle, I’m not home as much as I was when I was coasting, writing content, and working seasonally as a tax preparer, but I’ve been fortunate to find a firm that prioritizes a strong culture of balance.
Going forward, you can expect this newsletter to lean more into retirement planning topics. Of course, I’ll still write about financial independence, but my goal is to share ideas and strategies for people who are navigating the transition to or through retirement.
Thank you for sticking with me, and I look forward to diving back into writing and hearing your thoughts on what I share!
Best,
Anders
